How Much Does Botox® Cost?

When people with youthful skin laugh or frown, the crinkles around their eyes or between their brows may be endearing, however, these temporary creases can become lasting lines and wrinkles over time. Botox® smooths these expression lines so you can look refreshed, relaxed, and youthful. This injectable treatment is the easiest, most convenient way to treat or prevent wrinkles.

What is Botox® (Botulinum Toxin)?

Botox® is an injectable anti-aging treatment used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. It addresses lines that form where facial muscles contract to create facial expressions. Botox® is FDA-approved to treat crow’s feet, forehead creases, and lines between the brows (glabellar lines). It is often used around the mouth to treat lip lines, marionette lines, and more. Botox® is also a medical treatment for migraines, hyperhidrosis, muscle spasms, and other conditions.

How Does Botox® Work?

Botox® works using botulinum toxin, a type of neurotoxin. This compound relaxes fine lines and wrinkles by acting on targeted facial nerves. It causes these nerves to stop sending signals to your facial muscles. As a result, the muscles stop pulling and creasing your skin. While it is called a neurotoxin, Botox® is harmless to your facial nerves and will have no lasting effects.

How Much Does Botox® Cost?

Many factors affect how much you can expect to pay for your treatment. Most providers price Botox® by the unit, with each area requiring a different number of units. Your New York Skin and Vein team prices Botox® by the area. As a result, your costs are predictable and fair, with no need to worry about the number of units you need. Your injector can use exactly the right amount of Botox® you require.

Factors that affect the cost of Botox® include:

  • Your injector’s credentials and experience
  • Your location
  • The area being treated
  • Your desired results
  • The severity of your lines and wrinkles
  • Your body’s response to treatment

The average cost of Botox® for the forehead ranges from $250 to $600. The average cost to treat crow’s feet ranges from $150 to $400. We recommend a consultation to discuss your goals. Since we price Botox® by the area instead of the unit, you will know exactly what to expect. Also, if you need more for a “touchup” we do not charge you! (Some restrictions apply.)

What Results Will I See With Botox®?

Botox® results may become visible in as little as three days. Full results take one to two weeks to develop. You will see the treated area look naturally smooth and relaxed. Your results will usually last three to four months. They may last slightly longer for people who have Botox® regularly over time.

Am I a Good Candidate for Botox®?

Botox® has been in widespread use for over two decades. Most healthy adults are good candidates for this treatment. Ideal candidates are seeking a non-surgical way to achieve a more youthful, refreshed appearance. You should not have Botox® if you have an infection or active skin condition in the treatment area, are pregnant, or have certain medical conditions.
