How Does CoolSculpting® Elite Work?

CoolSculpting® Elite uses a method of fat reduction called cryolipolysis. Its applicator lowers the temperature of the treated area until the fat cells start to freeze. Freezing damages fat cells, breaking them apart. Your body’s lymphatic system will filter away these damaged cells for removal from the body. CoolSculpting® Elite can treat multiple areas in one session to provide more results in less time.

How Long Do CoolSculpting® Elite Results Last?

As adults, we do not grow new fat cells. Any fat removed by CoolSculpting® Elite will not come back. CoolSculpting® Elite removes up to 25% of fat from treated areas with a single treatment. However, some fat cells will remain, and these can expand or shrink if your weight changes. The best way to maintain your results is to stay at a consistent weight.

How Many CoolSculpting® Elite Treatments Will I Need?

CoolSculpting® Elite removes fat with each treatment session, so the number of treatments depends on how much fat you want to remove. Many people achieve their desired results with one session. However, some people will benefit from two treatments to achieve maximum results. No maintenance treatments are required.

Is There Any Downtime After CoolSculpting® Elite?

CoolSculpting® Elite requires no downtime. You can return to work or other activities immediately. Your skin may look red and feel sensitive for a few hours to days. Some people also experience temporary numbness or tingling. A CoolSculpting® Elite session typically takes an hour or less, making it easy to fit into busy schedules.

Am I a Good Candidate for CoolSculpting® Elite?

CoolSculpting® Elite is safe for all skin types and tones. Most healthy adults make good candidates for this body sculpting treatment. Ideal candidates have reasonable expectations and want to target specific areas of stubborn fat. You should not have CoolSculpting® Elite while pregnant or if you have certain medical conditions.
