The author of The Dorito Effect argues that we cheat our nutritional needs because we have adopted the attitude that “food should only cost a buck.” We are willing to pay to upgrade in so many areas of our life like cell phones, cars, cable TV, clothes, etc. So it’s time we upgrade our food choices. This way of eating does NOT cost more – you spend more in only a few areas and NOT AT ALL IN OTHERS like junk food.
