The procedure starts with assessing and measuring your face. A local anesthetic is injected into the points on the cheek where the suture will be threaded under the skin. Dr. Dohner inserts a needle with a suture attached and guides it through the facial tissue. The sutures, interspersed with tiny “cones” adept at grabbing a tissue, gather the skin, essentially, lifting and redraping it to contour the mid-face.
Depending on how many threads are needed during your treatment, it can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes, including prep time.
